Abstracts will be given scores by at least 2 reviewers, and the top 10 scoring abstracts in each category (Original Research and Case Report) will be chosen for oral presentation.

Presentation Information

Oral Presentations:

  • Oral presentations will be evaluated by a panel of judges chosen from a list provided by each participating institution.
  • Presentations will be limited to 8 minutes with an additional 2 minutes for questions. Adherence to the time limit will be one of the judging criteria.
  • Please prepare presentations in PowerPoint format.

Poster Presentations:

  • Posters should be 4 feet wide by 3 feet high.  A space will be assigned when you check in at the registration table the morning of the conference, and posters should be hung before the first session of the day begins at 8:00 AM.
  • All posters will remain hanging for viewing for the entire day.
  • For judging, there will be 2 sessions. Each poster will be assigned to one session for judging (residents will have about 5 minutes to present to the judges), and residents are asked to be near their poster at least during the first half of their assigned session and until they have presented to the judges.

Awards will be given for the best presentations. We are pleased to announce that the Foundation for Anesthesia Education and Research (FAER) will again be a sponsor of PARRC.
