Clinical Endocrinology Conference

The Division offers Clinical Endocrinology Conference every Wednesday from September through June* between 1-2 p.m. where an invited speaker (e.g., a faculty member, from within or outside the Division, or a fellow in training or an outside guest speaker) covers timely topics in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism by reviewing relevant recent literature.

(Penn State College of Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of one hour AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Penn State College of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. All faculty participating in continuing medical education activities sponsored by Penn State Continuing Education are expected to disclose to the activity audience any real or apparent conflict(s) of interest related to the content of their presentation(s). Full disclosure of faculty relationships will be made at the activity.)

This hour for formal education is followed by another hour where challenging patients from our clinics or the inpatient consult service are presented for advice by the group which, in addition to faculty and trainees from our Division, includes physicians from allied disciplines such as Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, and Surgery, with whom we share the care of these patients.

*No formal presentations occur during July and August but the weekly case conferences are held from 1-3 p.m. each Wednesday.
