The Office of Graduate Student Affairs (GSA) at the Hershey campus is committed to enhance the quality of graduate education by working closely with individual students, student organizations, faculty, and the University. We are committed to ensure that all individuals are afforded the opportunity to achieve their full potential as scholars and professionals independent of ethnicity or gender. As of 2010, Penn State College of Medicine has awarded PhD, MD/PhD, MS or MPS degrees to 1014 scientists and other professionals. Current graduate enrollment rests at 241 students in residence in Hershey, and 202 students online.
We are pleased to announce the creation of a new integrated PhD program in Biomedical Sciences that will begin matriculating students in August 2011. This program draws over 130 graduate faculty members from over 20 basic sciences and clinical sciences departments. Thus, students in this program have access to an extensive range of research interests and experimental approaches.
