We are fortunate to have over 80 Nurse Practitioners on staff. Our Nurse Practitioners work in a wide variety of clinical areas and function in several different roles across all practice settings. In the emergency department and family practice sites, they provide primary care for their patient groups in coordination with their physician partners. In the hospital, they're partnered with specific medical and surgical physician services, coordinating teaching, performing procedures, and assisting patients and families in coordinating care and services. In our critical care areas, such as Heart and Vascular, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit or Pediatric Intensive Care unit, they oversee education for fellows and residents, perform procedures, and manage the care for groups of patients in collaboration with the intensivist medical teams. Advance Practice Nurses serve as clinical experts and resources in all areas to advance the practice of nursing.
