Diagnosis and Treatment

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) currently affects more than 2 million men, women and children in the United States. At Penn State Hershey IBD Center, we currently treat more than 5,000 IBD patients. These patients come from throughout Pennsylvania and beyond for our treatment options and quality care, which include drug therapies, nutritional plans, and sometimes surgery. While we will do everything we can to help you find relief without surgery, sometimes it is necessary. In these cases, we offer expert, minimally invasive surgical techniques that have provided enormous relief to hundreds of patients each year.
