Questions, Complaints and Concerns

Questions, complaints or concerns related to research involving human participants conducted at or under the auspices of the Penn State College of Medicine or Penn State Hershey Medical Center can be directed to the Associate Director of the Human Subjects Protection Office, Dr. Kathleen Hay at telephone (717) 531-1646, or email khay@hmc.psu.edu, or reported to the anonymous hotline (717) 531-6004. Questions, complaints or concerns may also be directed to the office of the Vice Dean for Research (717) 531-7199. All communications are taken seriously and handled confidentially. Federal law prohibits discrimination against persons that bring forth legitimate concerns for investigation.

For after hours urgent concerns regarding human subjects protection the IRB Executive Chair, Dr. Kevin Gleeson, or another IRB Chair may be contacted through the hospital operator (717) 531-8521.
