Our progressive and innovative diverse surgical team fosters an environment that is supportive, challenging, and dynamic. As a registered nurse, you will be trained to circulate and scrub for a variety of surgical specialties in our state-of-the art surgical suites. We are part of an academic medical center caring for both pediatric and adult patients. We are classified as a Level I Trauma and Transplant Center. You will be exposed to a wide variety of surgical experiences and a complex patient population.

Our Operating Room Suites consist of 35 rooms, 3 procedure rooms, and a hybrid catheterization lab for children.

As a Registered Nurse, you will be provided with the experience of scrubbing and circulating surgical cases. You will be assigned to an operating room and provide a 1:1 nurse to patient care.

Nurses work with the scheduling committee, team members, clinical head nurses and the nurse manager to develop schedules that meet personal and professional needs.

As a Level I Trauma Center, maintaining appropriate CEU's on trauma-related issues is a priority. Our Nurse Educators are actively involved in the education and orientation of the staff. We also encourage participation in continuing education opportunities sponsored by the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Penn State College of Medicine and other professional organizations.

RN , Certification in Perioperative Nursing, Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Desired candidates will have completed a bachelor of science in nursing.
