Welcome to Penn State Hershey Nursing Research
The Charter of the Nursing Staff provides guidance for the structure and process of nursing research at Penn State Hershey and includes nursing research as a mission component aligned with the Medical Center and College of Medicine research mission. The Nursing Strategic Plan, congruent with the Nursing Charter, establishes as an overall goal to "Develop a Model Nursing Research Program." The nursing research program evolves, adapts, and develops with the continual changes present at an Academic Medical Center. The association with the College of Medicine provides importance and value to research; and enables access to resources that are used to support and advance nursing research. We develop the capabilities of nurses to utilize and generate new knowledge, and to integrate research findings and best available evidence into the clinical and administrative practice of nursing.

New leadership coming to human resources, community relations
Lisa Abbott will join Penn State Hershey on June 3 as associate vice president for human resources for health affairs for Penn State and chief human resources officer for Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
