Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery Fellowship
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is an academic program with an ACGME approved obstetrics and gynecology residency that includes a total of 20 residents or 5 residents per academic year. The Division of Urogynecology and Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery established an AAGL approved Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery Fellowship in 2010.
The Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is a 500 bed academic medical center located in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The hospital has 29 operating rooms with 8 laparoscopic suites. There is a daVinci Surgical Robotic System utilized by Gynecology, Urology and Cardio-Thoracic Surgery. The medical campus also includes the Hershey Outpatient Surgical Center (HOSC). Recently, the hospital opened the Penn State Medical Simulation Center. The Center combines the services of Anesthesia, Surgery and Nursing into a single state of the art simulation center with extensive surgical virtual reality simulators.
