Anticoagulation Clinic

The Anticoagulation Clinic at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center opened in January 1998 and provides standardized care for over 1400 patients receiving outpatient anticoagulation. The goal of the Anticoagulation Clinic is to maximize the benefits of warfarin (Coumadin®) therapy yet avoid adverse effects. The Clinic makes appointments for blood tests and adjusts warfarin (Coumadin ®) doses as needed. Educational services about anticoagulation, possible interactions, and possible complications and side effects are also provided.
