The Section of Musculoskeletal Imaging provides a comprehensive range of radiologic services using state of the art equipment. All modalities including magnetic resonance imaging (3T and 1.5 T systems), computed tomography (16-64 slice CT systems), radiography (CR and DR), fluroscopy and ultrasound are performed and interpreted in an all-digital environment. Diagnostic and therapeutic image guided procedures are performed daily including arthrography, joint aspiration/injection and tumor biopsy.
The section is staffed by three fellowship trained musculoskeletal radiologists and two musculoskeletal imaging fellows. One of our faculty is a world renowned expert in MSK MR imaging and has a specific interest in cartilage imaging and research. The other two faculty members have a strong interest in tumor and arthritis imaging. All three faculty members are committed to providing world-class interpretive services and are dedicated to educating the radiologists of tomorrow.
The section enjoys a strong clinical, educational and research relationship with the Orthopedic, Rheumatology and Pathology Departments. The Orthopedic Department provides a wide range of services including oncology, sports, joint replacement, trauma, spine and foot/ankle surgery ensuring that our trainees have a broad exposure to a range of musculoskeletal disease.
