Welcome to Penn State Hershey Therapy Services
Penn State Hershey Therapy Services provides individualized, innovative, and specialized, care to individuals who require rehabilitative services for functional decline due to injury, disease processes, or aging.
Our services include the entire spectrum of treatment for adult and pediatric patients. We treat patients in the hospital as well as patients who come to our new state of the art therapy services center located at 30 Hope Drive. We participate fully with medical teams from several services including but not limited to the bone and joint institute, the JCAHO accredited stroke center, our nationally known ALS center, our children’s hospital, cancer institute, cardio-vascular center, trauma service, and women’s health team.
Our team is comprised of Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech/Language Pathologists, Music Therapists, and Certified Driver Rehabilitation Specialists. Within each therapy we have therapists with credentials that are specific to the population they treat. Examples include Physical Therapists who are also certified in Athletic Training, Occupational Therapists who are also certified in Upper Extremity Therapy, Driver Educators and Occupational Therapists who are certified in working with persons with disabilities, and therapists who are well trained in treating individuals with neurological impairment.
We are proud of our treatment approach which includes significant one on one treatment with constant interaction between the patient, and his/her family.
Many of our therapists are professors in College and University Programs. Some are also involved in interdisciplinary research with goals to enhance the care of the patients we serve.
We are committed to not only providing the finest care to our patients and serving our referring physicians, but also to educating the future generation of therapists through our many internship programs.
If you have questions or would like further details about any of our programs feel free to contact us at: 717-531-8070.
