Attendance Policy
In the spirit of creating an energetic group exercise environment, our goal is to offer classes that draw an average of 8 or more participants. If attendance drops below that level for more than a month, the class will be evaluated and perhaps moved or replaced on the schedule. So, if you LOVE a UFC class, please vote with your feet and attend regularly (and bring a friend!)
Other Class Policies
Instructor discretion to hold class based on daily attendance: It is at the discretion of the instructor to hold a class with fewer than 3 in attendance.
Fee and Guest Pass: Basic Training classes are "free" to UFC members. Non-members may attend as a guest of a UFC member. $10.00 guest pass is good for one day.
Registration: Classes are offered on a drop in basis - no registration required, as space allows. Registration policies may be enacted if limited supplies and/or space warrants.
Level: Instructors will present the class at beginner-intermediate level. Those who want to participate at a more demanding pace may do so at their own discretion as long as they do so without disrupting the intent of the class.
Substitute Instructors: Management will work to secure a substitute instructor when needed however, this is not always possible. Substitute instructors may teach the class of their choice, which may not be the same class taught by the regular instructor.
Annual Schedule: Basic Training Fitness classes go on regularly scheduled 2-week breaks that coincide with major holidays and semester breaks:
- Christmas/New Year
- Memorial Day and
- Labor Day
