Bladder Cancer Support Group
Penn State Cancer Institute's bladder cancer support group will meet Wednesday, July 16 from 5:30-7 p.m. at the University Conference Center on the Medical Center campus. Various breakout sessions led by the medical team, bladder cancer survivors and caregivers will provide information about living with bladder cancer, treatment, the role of a support person, and more. Anyone affected by this disease, including patients, family and friends, is invited to attend. For a campus map and directions, visit PennStateHershey.org/directions. For more information and to register, please call Theda Shaw, nurse coordinator, at 717-531-0003, ext. 285863.
The primary purpose of this support group is to share cancer-related experiences and provide encouragement, hope, educational and emotional support to patients with bladder cancer as well as their families in the form of formal meetings, personal contacts and newsletters. We support bladder cancer research through awareness functions, seminars, and fundraising activities.
